This is why we Americans are fat.

Because Employers love to spoil you with donuts from and occasionally twice a week…
I would love to just say no but there so delicious. I’d have to say sweets are definitely my weakness.

But I’m going to be honest, most of the time I pass on the scheduled Thursday donuts. Not this week though, and the result = fatter belly than before. I can just picture my body screaming

“NOOO!! DON’T EAT ITTTT!!”

But who actually ever listens to what your body really wants. I mean we go to restaurants and eat over sized meals that are deep fried in carcinogens and pig out on anything and everything thats in front of our faces. Maybe I’m taking this to seriously and ranting to much about these stupid donuts but to me its these little things that matter the most in a healthier diet. The way I think about it is lets take one stepping stone at a time, and not turn into this raging health freak overnight. A major player in keeping people unhealthy is the soda industry, some people can toss down a 12 pack in one day. Which is totally unnecessary here’s some advice

“DRINK IN MODERATION”

One-Fourth of Americans’ Calories Come From Soda

Nearly 50 percent of Americans over the age of 4 drink sugary beverages on any given day, including soft drinks, sweetened fruit juices and presweetened iced teas.

Data from a large federal study further indicates that Americans drink nearly one-fourth of their total calories each day, mostly in the form of soft drinks. More than one-third of all the added sugars Americans consume come from soft drinks.

Unsurprisingly, drinking sugary beverages was also linked with obesity.

Not only are sodas filled with calorie laden sweeteners one can of Coke contains the equivalent of 10 teaspoons of sugar but most people do not compensate for drinking those calories by eating less, because liquid calories simply do not provide the same feeling of fullness as solid foods.
The average American drinks nearly 54 gallons of soft drinks each year, or more than a gallon each week. Mix it up a little and drink water in the morning and a few glasses through the day. Supposedly you can live longer if you have a low calorie diet, but where do you sacrifice those calories? Lets make smarter choices and you wont have to worry about sacrificing. I agree that Obesity is a genetic disease and all that mobo jobo but c’mon people don’t go on Oprah claiming my kids fat because he has a disease ;( ……. Your kids fat because you feed him the same amount a Zoologist would feed a bear. Lesson learned don’t eat the donuts.
